The first and last frame of the short film "Brzemia" is filled with the picture of Zofia Stryjeńska "Seasons. November - December (Procession I - with deer), arising from the inspiration of Polish and Hutsul folk culture. The dynamics of the bursting canvas, which is the quintessence of the decorative style in the painting of the Polish twentieth anniversary, prompts the launch of the action, awakening a flat composition, introducing lively movement. The director of the film, Iwona Pasińska, treated the painting approach - the procession of characters shimmering with all colors - as an impulse to compose the choreography and build subsequent scenes that make up the metaphor of life in the community, moving along the line of life, experiencing good and evil, happiness and pain, unchanging rhythm nature and the changing turn of fate. Two worlds - the individual and the community - are separated by an invisible border. Because the community under a fabulously colorful and ludic mask of customs, traditions and rites hides a different face. He marginalizes, "bites" and rejects.

The visual layer of the 9-minute film is created by ornamental motifs taken from Stryjeńska's painting. The fragmentary narrative is built by the words of traditional songs arranged and performed by the Maliszów Band, which overlap the language of contemporary dance. The cross-genre combination of dance and painting film makes the second-ever film production of the Polish Dance Theater an interdisciplinary experiment on the borderline of arts.
